Originally developed to propel automobiles equipped with foam-flood power pack systems. To prepare this cell to meet the extreme safety standards Hohm Tech holds themselves accountable to, the NMC chemistry ratio was modified, and a reformulated EPTC resistance compound was used to give this cell the attention it needed.

The Sherlock 20700 will perform like it’s little siblings do, but with greater tolerance to amp loads and voltage support. For consumers that use devices that require heavy amperage, but need a battery that can support those loads without faulting, Hahm Tech introduces the Sherlock Hohm 20700 cell.

Sherlock Hohm can be used in various applications with a Battery Management System. These are rated by Indonesia Chemistry at 2782mAh capacity, with a CDR of 28.4A and a pulse/peak rating of 47.8A. All ratings are subject to meet and/or exceed strict limitation policies set forth for DLr1, TID2, PVDL3, CLR4, m?R5, and Temperature (°C). Sherlock is most closely related to the popular Hohm Work 18650 cell, but has 1.3% greater Ni (nickel) per unit of measure. Results are incredibly high amperage delivery, with an assurance of consistent coalition within the Li-NiMn chemistry.

Every Hohm Tech cell model has been tested and certified by Hohm Tech and the rightful authorities/laboratories and accredited entities to achieve certification of MSDS, CE, ROHS, UN38.3, Specifications, Air/Sea Transport, and PLI. Hohm Tech does not cut corners. They deliver what they promise… chart topping performance, capacity, consistency, and safety.

All cells are developed and built specifically for intense & power-hungry devices that require consistent amperage delivery to operate as intended. Not only was power & capacity a priority, but safety measures were at the forefront of it all.

To expound on safety:

  1. Modified cathode tag consisting of higher purity aluminum is utilized to aid in lowering internal resistance
  2. Updated poly seal with refined bitumen is installed in every cell to ensure excess pressure is controlled
  3. Each cell is fitted with their proprietary EPTC (Enhanced Positive Thermal Coefficient) ring with higher multiplier of resistance
  4. Every cell is equipped with 2-stage CID (Current Interrupt Device) system to aid in overcharge prevention

*** TESTING BEYOND TEMPERATURE. Hohm Tech cells utilize both static & dynamic testing that includes but not limited to: density loss, thermal distribution, volt drop limiters, cycle life retention, and temperature. These tests are imperative to achieve true cell performance, longevity, and overall quality.

NOTE:These INR cells have much lower internal resistance than regular Lithium Ion 3.7V cells and they may end up with a higher ending voltage when charged in certain chargers ( especially older versions of the WF-139 charger ). Please check the voltage of your 18650 INR battery right out of the charger to see if they are above 4.20V when fully charged with your charger. You can do this with a Multimeter Overcharging above 4.25V may shorten life/cycles. Above 4.50V may even damage them. DO NOT use the charger if it is overcharging INR+ cells.
Other Caution Notes:
- Do not over-discharge/overcharge
- Recharge empty batteries (resting voltage ~3.6V) as soon as possible. Leaving batteries in discharged state will incur irreversible damage (capacity / cycle loss)
- Do not short circuit ( will release tremendous current )
- Do not dispose of in fire.
- Do not leave battery in Vehicles.
- Do not carry batteries loose in your pocket, purse or anywhere they can make contact with other metal objects..
- Never leave a battery charging unattended.
- Discontinue use of a battery if it looks worn, outer wrapping is torn, or it's acting unusual.

NOTE: Use special caution when working with Li-Co-Mn-Ni, Li-ion, or Li-Mn cells, they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Make sure the user has enough knowledge of
Li-Co-Mn-Ni, Li-ion, or Li-Mn rechargeable batteries in charging, discharging and assembly before use. Always charge in/on a fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. We are not responsible for damage if there is any modification of the batteries/chargers in any form or shape (including pack making). We are not responsible for any damage caused by misuse or mishandling of batteries and chargers.
